Even if you are eligible for funding via social services, we can provide your care package either by directly working with the local social services or through Direct Payments
If you are eligible for state funded care, the local authority can select a provider of their choice. Cumbria View is an approved and preferred provider for the Cumbria County Council. You may request your local social worker to select Cumbria View to deliver your care.
We care of people under a private contract for services we deliver.
We will invoice you every 4 weeks and you can pay by cash, direct debit or standing order.
We also accept Bitcoin as a method of payment.
A Direct Payment is made by your local authority directly to you to organise the services you need yourself or a loved on. You can decide on the provider of your choice and can choose to pay any extra costs or top up if required. At Cumbria View we can take on clients with Direct Payments and do not charge any top ups, so that you are not out of pocket.
NHS continuing healthcare is a package of care for people who are assessed as having significant ongoing healthcare needs. It is arranged and funded by the NHS. We are able to assist with NHS Continuing Care.
To get NHS continuing healthcare you must:
• have ongoing significant health needs, and
• require care primarily because of the nature of your health needs
• Attendance Allowance
Anyone over 65 can apply Attendance Allowance (AA) for assistance with Personal Care . You may be entitled to either £55.10 or £82.30 per week. Attendance Allowance is non-means tested, tax free and paid in addition to state pension.
Pension Credit is an income-related benefit made up of 2 parts – Guarantee Credit and Savings Credit. Guarantee Credit tops up your weekly income if it’s below £163 (for single people) or £248.80 (for couples).Savings Credit is an extra payment for people who saved some money towards their retirement, for example a pension.
